Those of you who know me personally know I coach baseball nearly year-round and have been doing so for a good while now. I'm also a huge Cleveland sports fan.

Last October, when I heard that Cedar Point and Six Flags Great America had made this bet, I thought it was a really cool thing to do. Even after we blew the series that nobody thought we'd be in with the Cubs, I still thought it was pretty cool that they followed through on it so dramatically.

Hence, Top Thrill Cubster will make its one (and hopefully only) appearance at CP this opening weekend. I'm actually hoping when I go on Sunday to potentially get some maps if they have it on there and definitely a shirt or something as Tony posted on Twitter. I'm not a Cubs fan by any means, but its one of those souvenirs that won't be around very long and could become a collector's item.

In closing this short post, I think its cool two parks from rival chains made a deal like that, even if ended up going against my home park. It made me wonder what the heck we might have called one of their coasters had we won... X Tribe... GoTribe... Much harder going the other way around I think.
