   About Me:

Amusement Park Stuff:

My name is Bob and I am a theme park and roller coaster enthusiast from suburban Cleveland, Ohio. I created this site to document my trips to Cedar Point as well as other parks around the country beginning with the 2017 season and to give me thoughts on rumors and other things happening everywhere as well. For many years, I have made numerous trips to Cedar Point yearly, but this will be the first time I will be attending nearly all of their special events as well. I am the magazine editor for the Great Ohio Coaster Club as well as a Cedar Fair Platinum passholder, Six Flags Gold passholder, Dollywood passholder, and Kentucky Kingdom season passholder.

As of August 4, 2020, I have ridden 403 coasters at various parks across the country.  Outside of blogging, in the past 18 months, I have picked up photography as one of my main hobbies. You can see some of my pics on instagram @bkphotopage.

So please feel free to look around, follow me on Twitter at @bobscoasterblog and Instagram at @bkphotopage and drop me a line at bk31883@gmail.com if you have any comments or questions. I hope you enjoy this blog and I look forward to meeting some of you on my trips.

Personal:

Outside of amusement parks and roller coasters, I enjoy watching sports (I am a diehard Cleveland sports and Ohio State football fan), attending rock and country concerts, spending time with my two dachshunds Oscar and Buddy as well as my niece Isabella and my nephew RJ. I play on one of the best pub trivia teams in northern Ohio -- we recently won the Northern Ohio Sporcle Live trivia championship back-to-back for Spring and Summer 2017. I have been involved in coaching baseball and high school quizbowl for many years and I currently write question sets for leagues throughout all of Ohio. In addition, I write, edit and host the yearly "TRASH" pop culture trivia tournament each year in December in Olmsted Falls, Ohio.

I picked photography as a hobby about five years ago but have only gotten really serious about it over the past couple years. I have a successful career that I'm not planning on leaving, but I enjoy photography for the sense of satisfaction it gives me after taking a great shot.

The thing I enjoy most in life is getting a chance to interact with and mentor young adults both inside and outside of sports. It is what has driven me my entire career and will hopefully continue to push me to become even better at what I do.
